Who is Chipman Creative?
Melissa Chipman is a writer and editor who spent 13 years teaching high school English in elite private schools in Louisville and New Orleans. She has a BA in English from Columbia College of Columbia University in New York City and an MA in English from the University of New Orleans. She is also halfway through her coursework toward an MFA in Creative Writing-- Fiction from the University of New Orleans. She has attended dozens of writers' conferences, workshops, and retreats and has taught writing at all levels.
For the past 5+ years, Melissa has blogged 720+ posts as "Lou" at the My Loueyville website. She has earned press credentials from the Kentucky Center, Actors Theatre, Churchill Downs Entertainment, IdeaFestival, Broadway Across America, and many other local institutions and organizations. More than 10K people view her blog every month. As @Loueyville, she has 2K+ Twitter followers.

When Society for Professional Journalists instated Melissa as the first blogger on their Board of Directors. (Okay, her name's not on that list yet, but she swears it's true.) She also serves on the Executive Council of the Generation One Board for Actors Theatre.

After writing a handful of articles on arts and local startups for the online newspaper Insider Louisville, Melissa recently joined the IL team as the first somewhere-between-part-time-and-full-time-staff-member. Her official title is TBA.
In September 2012, Melissa was a member the winning team for the inaugural "Startup Weekend" in Louisville, Kentucky. CityAnchor, her startup team, continues to develop the startup and recently named Melissa CEO of the company.
